A month of slow afternoons.
40 grams of roasted hojicha — about 20 servings. Subscribe and save 15%
- Stone-ground roasted hojicha, sourced from Japan
- Toasty, mellow, naturally low in caffeine
- Whisk in 60 seconds, hot water or milk
- Around 10mg of caffeine per cup — 1/10 of coffee
- Notes of caramel, toasted nuts, light smoke

How to whisk it
Three steps. Sixty seconds. A cup with the warmth of toast and the calm of the afternoon.
-
Heat the water
Bring water to just below boiling, around 80°C. Hojicha is gentler than coffee — it doesn't need a full boil.
-
Whisk the powder
Add one teaspoon (around 2g) of HŌJI to your cup. Pour in 30ml of hot water and whisk until smooth and frothy. Use a bamboo whisk if you have one, or a small electric frother.
-
Top up
Add 150ml more hot water for a clean cup, or warm milk for a hojicha latte. Drink immediately.
